Articles by Gabby Cournoyer

Gabby loves to learn about anything and everything under the sun! As a native to the rural community in the Great Lakes state and in true Michigander style, the lakes and outdoors have always been a huge part of Gabby’s life and childhood. She has been an avid vegetarian and environmental activist for over a decade, and is incredibly passionate about sustainable food systems and farming. Gabby studied and conducted research in the Bocas del Toro archipelago in Panama, sparking her interest in the connection of culture and the natural environment. Chances are, if something connects to nature or culture in any way, shape, or form, Gabby is interested in learning about it.

When she isn’t writing stories or reading nonfiction books about nature and humanity, Gabby enjoys spending time outdoors with her friends, hiking, scuba diving, or camping. She is also incredibly passionate about fitness and is a competitive cheerleader. She’s also a cycling instructor at her local cycling studio.
